New model !
With Vinyl undergoing a revival, the demand for turntables is also increasing. More and more models are making their entrance, but there is rarely a turntable that appeals to the feeling of many both technically and optically.
The Takumi TT level2.1DC belongs to that class, with an unmistakable price/quality ratio.

A turntable has several critical points of interest. A motor and bearing, for example, cause vibrations.
So we look at vibrational waves that reach the cartridge and the stylus via the base, the tonearm and other ways.
But the needle itself also creates all kinds of forces in the groove, which must remain under control.
Every force and path that can be traveled by vibrational waves needs to be looked at.
With the right choice of materials and fastening methods, all forces can be balanced. Balance is the keyword when designing our turntables.

The base of the TT level 2.1DC is made of polished PPMA acrylic.
This material has no preferred direction for vibrational waves.
The platter, for that reason made of the same material, is manufactured on a precise CNC machine. the measurements are accurate to the nearest hundredth of a millimeter and ensure a perfect balance here too.
The Takumi comes in a transparent or black version.

The Takumi TT level 2.1DC stands on three aluminum feet, with a rubber decoupling.
This makes the turntable less sensitive to vibrations in the audio furniture, as a result of vibrations in the floor or sound waves due to low tones from the speakers.
The feet are adjustable in height.

The thin-wall titanium arm makes a major contribution to the whole.
The low weight of the arm in combination with the high rigidity of the arm tube and the fixed headshell provide more detail in the reproduction.
The arm has a gimbal suspension, as is only used with the better turntables.
The transverse pressure compensation is achieved by a system with magnets.
The tonearm is actually a coastal piece in itself!

"If you've been waiting so long for the Takumi to arrive, take comfort in the knowledge that you're getting something very special.
We have set the bar very high.
And soon the Takumi will be here, a turntable that sounds great, looks great and is affordable.”

The belt-driven subplatter is made of heavy aluminum.
The ground ceramic shaft rotates silently in a bronze bearing housing with an oil bath.

The Takumi TT level 2.1DC - together with the standard 2MRed element from Ortofon - ensures an effortless and rhythmic reproduction and a beautiful spatial image.
Because it can be even more beautiful, we have options for even better needles and cartridges.

Some specs:
Cardanic suspension 9 inch tonearm
Thin wall titanium arm tube
Close tolerance ceramic main bearing
Aluminum subplatter
Acrylic 30cm flatter
Vibration-damped feet, height adjustable Clear hinged dustcover
POM record clamp
Ortofon 2Mred cartridge (upgrade possible)

cartridge:
As standard the Takumi is supplied with a 2Mred cartridge from Ortofon. This cartridge gives great results, less would be wasting the potential of the Takumi. If you are willing to spend a little bit more, then the Ortofon 2Mblue will give much better results. The secret is in the stylus shape, it fits better in the groove and has less contact with the upper parts of the records. You will have the same character of sound but less noise and ticks from the record surface.
When upgrading to the Ortofon 2Mbronze is possible for you (pricewise), you will be rewarded with a more involving character and a wide and open soundstage. The Takumi and the 2Mbronze make a very beautiful combination. Highly recommended!
Or go for a real MC cartridge like the Quintet Blue, Bronze or even black. Costs some extra money, but you have never heard your vinyl this way before.
