WellTempered Simplex turntable, quirky!

Item 48 of 48

News 22 Jan 2012 ---

On our new years show, this quirky turntable was already admired and many people listened to it. During the Naim streaming show, Ed from Latham Audio explained everything about the philosophy behind this turntable. The music that came from this workout and the separate chosen solutions for everyday turntable problems, is very interesting!

The bearing is nicely different and allows for a smooth running. The motor is decoupled from the plinth and the extremely thin string transfers the power to the acrylic platter.

The tonearm is a sand-filled aluminum tube that has got no conventional bearing. In fact, a golf ball hangs on a wire and is muted by a very thick silicone oil.

Everything on this turntable blinks simplicity, and that's why it's a gem!

Soon we'll get it in. It cannot be fast enough for us. Please let us know when you want to attend a demonstration, then we will put you on our list. We will give you a sign as soon as the Simplex is in.
