Rik has discovered a real gem again!

At the High End in Munich, Rik has discovered a new integrated amplifier, the Moonriver Audio Model 404.

Today the first amplifier arrived in our shop and yes, this is how we think an amplifier should look and sound!
Beautiful vintage looks with massive aluminum buttons and solid walnut cheeks and in terms of operation the simplicity itself.
And then the sound, open, spatial, detailed and what a control for a 50 Watt amplifier!

The amplifier is build completely discrete, has a large toroidal transformer on board, 5 separate stabilized power supplies and the inputs are relay-controlled.
Even the transformer is switched with a 30A relay to protect the switch itself.

Add to that the possibility of installing a USB-DAC and an MM / MC phonomodule now or later, what else does a person want?
The hand-built Model 404 is available from 3000 euros, not much for such a beautiful amplifier!
